Silent Auction

- A silent auction is an auction that is open all day and anyone can bid for anything at any time right up until the auction closes.  Items for auction are not necessarily doggy related and this is a great way to start your Christmas shopping!

- Items for auction are donated by local business, organisations and individuals and are valued from $2 upwards.

- On the day all auction items will be laid out on display for inspection by all visitors.

- Each item will have a bid sheet attached to it highlighting: what it is, who donated it and a reserve price. The bid sheets should not be detached from the item or removed from the silent auction area.

- If you wish to bid for an item write your name, phone number and your bid on the bid sheet. Your bid must exceed the previous bid and at least equal reserve to be valid.  Bids must be a minimum of $1 greater than the previous bid.

- The auction will be open from the start of the day until approximately 2.30 when the silent part of the auction will close.

- If you have bid for something remember to keep checking the bid sheet to see if someone has out bid you.

- At the end of the silent part of the auction the highest valid bid wins.

- The MC will announce each item, acknowledging both the donor and auction winner.  It is then time to collect and pay for your prize. Note only cash or cheques (payable to Labrador Indulgence Day) can be accepted.

- If you are unable to stay for the end of the auction and have won an item we will contact you after the day to arrange collection.

- In the event that any item does not reach its reserve it will be auctioned then and there to the highest bidder!
